I don’t know if it’s the lack of sleep the last few days or the killer spin class I just finished, but I’m in a giddy mood! This means online shopping and terrible blog post names (or awesome? I’ve been laughing about it for a while).
Anywho, it’s slowly getting warmer which makes me want to pull out the spring clothes. My favourite go to is a cute romper! Rompers are awesome because if you’re feeling lazy you can just throw one on and look fashionable. Or you can add some jewellery and dress it up a little more.
I got an email today from Forever 21 about their spring arrivals and they have SO MANY rompers (and other one pieces). It looks like they’ll be a hit this year. Here are some of my favourites but if you want to look for yourself go here!
Hey guys! People have been asking me how I’ve been managing to grow my hair so much in the last little while. I honestly believe it’s because of the products I’ve been using! These are just from the local drugs store, which is awesome because they’re so affordable!
Batiste Dry Shampoo
This is one of my favourite dry shampoos because a little goes a long way. You only need to spray in the smallest amount and brush it through and you can get away with not washing your hair that day. I’ve been trying to not wash my hair every day, but with an oily scalp it’s difficult. This product has been a life saver!
This brush is amazing! You can use it on wet hair and it gets out any pesky knots. It’s really gentle and doesn’t rip out my hair like other brushes tend to do!
Pantene Smooth Heat Protection Spray
The most important thing for your hair is to protect it against the heat. I’ve been trying not to use as much heat on it, but those days I need to I always put this in first. It makes your hair super smooth and stops the heat from frying the ends. I notice my hairs a lot less dry when I use it as well!
OGX Argan Oil of Morocco
This stuff is a miracle! I put it in the ends of my hair every day to smooth flyaways and get rid of the dryness. The ends of my hair are always so dry and this helps more than anything. Just make sure you only use a little bit and stay away from your roots or it will get too oily!
Pantene Dry Defy Hydrating Hair Treatment
This is another product I love putting in the ends of my hair. I’m not joking when I say I have the driest hair of all time. I put this in right after I shower and I notice a huge different when I let my hair air dry. It’s a lot smoother and shinier!
Anyway those are my favourite products at the moment and what I use in my routine! Let me know if you want to try any of these or have any miracle products of your own!
It’s “Women Crush Wednesday” and as someone who believes in building other women up I love this concept! Today I thought I would focus on other fashion/beauty bloggers that I love. These ladies know their stuff and are beautiful inside and out! I’m sure you’ve come across their stuff before but in case you haven’t, please read on!
Barefoot Blonde – Amber Fillerup
Barefoot Blonde was one of the first fashion blogs I came across and I watched her build from nothing to the instagram superstar she is today! Not only does she have an adorable family, but she’s a good source of fashion and hair inspiration. I mean, can we talk about her braids?!
Maskcara – Cara Brook
I love Cara. I feel like if we knew each other in real life we’d be great friends. She is the best resource for everything you need to know about makeup. Dark circles? Contouring? Need a new foundation? She’s got you covered! And it’s a huge plus that she’s hilarious!
Pink Peonies – Rach Parcell
This girl’s got style! I love Pink Peonies because her style is so classic and beautiful. She also posts a lot of great lifestyle tips that are always amazing…and her shoe closet is one to envy for sure!
I just came across Aspyn’s blog recently, but it’s fantastic. She’s super adorable and her vlog tutorials are wonderful and super easy to follow. I also have to say I am completely envious of her travels with her husband, Parker.
That’s it for now! What do you guys think? Do you love any blogs I should check out?
Hey guys! I just wanted to make a quick post about this dress I am wearing. I love shopping and big name stores (in fact the sweater in this post is from Forever 21), but I love shopping locally more! Not only is it helping support small business but you aren’t likely to find someone wearing the same thing as you!
In my city we have a yearly craft festival where vendors come from all over with handmade items for sale during a long weekend. There is everything you can imagine from artwork to clothing. I bought this dress a few years ago and just love it! I thought it was great to pull it out again now that it’s officially spring! The colours and pattern is so fun and bright. I also love how flowing and light it is too!
I would highly recommend checking out local shops, markets or festivals in your city! I’m sure you’ll find a one of a kind piece you’ll love to!!
Last weekend I stopped by Sephora armed with a gift card from Christmas I had been saving. It’s no secret I read a lot of make up reviews and tutorials so I had a few products in mind I wanted to try. Number one on my list was Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick because I have heard so many good things about it.
I was slightly disappointed by the selection my local Sephora had on hand because Stila has so many colours and I only had four to choose from. I decided on “Amalfi” which is a bright coral pink. The colour is a little intimidating in the tube because it’s super vibrant. I’m not usually a vibrant lipstick kind of person, but with spring coming I wanted to give it a try!
So I’m not going to lie, it took me a couple tried to figure out how to apply this product properly. The first time I slathered it on and smudged it as it was drying. This made it hard to get off my actual face and the lipstick looked uneven.
The best way to apply it is to put on a lip balm first (I like EOS), give it a couple seconds to sink in and then apply a small amount of lipstick to the center of your bottom lip and rub them together. This should distribute the product evenly though you will likely have to blend from the center outwards to the corners of your lips. I also found applying a lipliner after the lipstick really cleans up the overall look.
I’ve tested this lipstick for a few days now while I’m at work for 8 hours. Stila claims it will last for 6 hours and I would agree with that. It holds up fairly well against eating and drinking (which is super impressive), but by the end of the day I usually have a sort of ombre thing going on in which it’s faded from where my lips meet but still looks okay towards the edge of my lips. I’m not upset about this as a quick swipe of moisturizer blends it and allows you to look normal until you can reapply or remove it. I’d say this is an amazing lipstick for going out as you’ll be sure to look great all night.
Overall this is the most impressed I’ve been with a lipstick that claims to “stay all day” most of them only last a couple hours at most. If you’re looking into this I’d suggest ordering online if you don’t see a colour you like in store.

Hey guys! So I’m jumping around a little here. Moving from mostly travel posts to a beauty one!
I was lucky enough to receive a voxbox in the mail curiosity of Influenser for me to try and review. This box featured the new baking soda cleanser and exfoliant from Biore!
I have been using the cleanser every day in the shower as part of my evening routine and the exfoliant once a week. The cleanser exfoliants very gently because of the baking soda and it dissolves quickly. This is much better than a cleanser with microbeads that don’t dissolve for a long time and are rough on the skin.
The exfoliant is also very gentle and my skin felt super soft and clean after every use. This is for sure a product I would incorporate into my routine and will be buying again! Thanks Biore!
And thank you for reading!
Disclaimer: these products were given to me free of charge to test and review. I promise this is my honest opinion.
